Crowdfunder campaign launches soon!

Our fund-raising campaign to buy a new Ultimate 4×4 trampoline is well under way. We have raised £2500 so far from 3 local charities, including the J Reginald Corah Foundation. Our Crowdfunder campaign to raise a further £5000 will be launching on 3rd January – look out for the link to make a pledge

Fundraising begins

We are raising money to buy a new competition trampoline, an Ultimate 4×4. We have to raise £9,360.

Purchasing a new competition trampoline will increase the opportunities for our gymnasts to develop and reach their potential, and give them more chance to qualify and compete at regional and national competitions. It will enable the club to develop and be sustainable for the future, and will also help to attract more trampoline coaches, which in turn will allow us to increase membership.

We are planning to raise the money through applying to several different funding streams for grants and donations, asking if local businesses would be willing to donate, as well as raising money ourselves, starting with a Christmas party and a Sponsored Jump.

If you are interested in making a donation, please contact Annette at: aandnlewis@gmail.com or look out for the link to our Crowdfunder page coming soon!

Isabelle completes successful routines in her first National Final

Isabelle went cleanly through both her set and her voluntary routines at the National Challenge Cup Final on Saturday 3rd September. In a tough field of 26 gymnasts, Isabelle finished in a very creditable 16th place. It was a great experience for her first national finals competing in the large arena of the English Institute of Sport, Sheffield.

Well done Izzy!

Isabelle qualifies for national Challenge Cup final

Isabelle Eason competed to a high standard at Level 1 in the 3 regional Challenge Cup competitions, and achieved second place overall to secure her place at the national finals. This is a fantastic achievement and one which Isabelle will relish, as she also qualified 2 years ago but was unable to compete due to the pandemic.

Amelia Durrance competed at Level 2 and improved her routines throughout the 3 competitions to finish in 4th place overall and qualify as second reserve.

Both girls now have the opportunity to take part in 2 regional squad training sessions with other qualifiers. This is a great opportunity for their development.

The national challenge cup final takes place on Saturday 3rd September 2022 at the English Institute for Sport, Sheffield.

3 qualify for National Schools Finals

Isabelle Eason, Edward Beale and Chloe Billam all qualified for the National Schools Finals in March this year. This is the highest number of gymnasts to qualify from Soar Valley in one year. The gymnasts had to qualify through both regional and zonal rounds to reach the national finals.

The finals competition took us to The Kings School in Macclesfield. In the Years 1-6 boy’s Novice event Edward competed brilliantly and finished in second place. In the Years 1-6 girl’s Novice event Isabelle also competed brilliantly and finished third in a very strong field. Chloe, in her first year of competitions was thrilled to be competing and soaked up the atmosphere. She completed all her routines cleanly to finish in 13th place.

Returning to training, hooray!

I am delighted to say that we will be returning to trampolining at Soar Valley College from Monday 12th April 2021! All classes will run on the days and times as before. Coronavirus update – October 2020

Unfortunately, our plans to re-open in September did not come to fruition.
Soar Valley College are not taking any community bookings at the present time due to the coronavirus pandemic, so we are unable to start our sessions again yet.
