Regional competition 3 results

The third of three regional competitions took place on 19th April in Wisbech. Eight of our gymnasts took part in this one and were placed as follows:
1st place – Ollie, Amelia, Edward
2nd place – Yajna
3rd place – Riley
5th, 6th and 10th places – Izzy, Kavya, Nyla

Riley’s 3rd place in the regional Level 1 grade means he qualifies as the first reserve for the Inter-regional Challenge Cup finals and is invited to regional squad training. What a great result for his first year at Level 1.

Success at the National Schools competition!

Riley and Lukas took part in the National Schools competition held at Derby Arena on 14th March. This was a great experience competing in such a large arena and we had a great day.

Riley was up first and completed 2 clean routines to finish in a fantastic 2nd place with 51.60 points. Next up was Lukas, the last group of the day and with a few minor errors he finished in a very creditable 9th place with a total of 48.60 points. Well done boys!

Regional competition 2

The second regional competition was held on 8th March in Long Eaton and again we had a good turnout of gymnasts with 8 taking part. There were no first and second places this time around but the results were good given there were one or two mistakes:

Congratulations to Teo for finishing 5th at the Inter-regional Challenge Cup Finals

The Inter-regional Challenge Cup finals took place on 12th July at the Utilita Arena, Birmingham and Teodor had qualified to represent the East Midlands team.
Competing in the Men’s 15+ Level 3 event, he completed two fantastic routines to finish in 5th place out of 21 competitors, and help the team earn points for the team position. Well done Teo for such a great performance! It’s great that our club was represented at this final again.

Teo competes in the club’s first-ever English Championships final

We had a great day out at Coventry Arena where Teo competed in his first English Championships final. This is the first time the club has been represented at these championships.
Teo competed in the Men’s 17+ Silver category. He completed a very good set routine improving on his qualification score, but unfortunately had errors in his voluntary routine which meant he finished in 9th place.
