Well done to Edward for qualifying for the national schools final. The final took place on 18th March and Edward completed both his routines to finish in a very creditable 11th place, in a very strong field.

The club had 5 gymnasts competing at the Central Zone Schools competition on 29th January – Edward Beale (4th), Roeshia Claxton (7th), Rosie Durrance (8th), Lucy Triggs (8th) and Chloe Billam (14th).
Edward finished in a fantastic 4th place in a field of 11 boys, therefore qualifying for the National Schools Final in March. It’s the second year in succession that Edward has qualified at this level, and this time in the Intermediate grade. Well done to Edward and all the other gymnasts.

We’ve reached our Crowdfunding target with 4 days left to go! We will soon be able to buy our new trampoline – how fantastic
Our Crowdfunding campaign is half way through and we have raised £4337. This is fantastic! Thank you to everyone who has supported us so far.
We need to press on now and achieve the full £5000, otherwise we will lose the Sport England pledge of £2500. Please help us if you can, by donating using the link on our home page – we’re almost there
Help us to buy a new trampoline

At the regional schools competition in December 2022, 5 of our gymnasts qualified for the next round of competition – the central zone round. The gymnasts are Lucy Triggs, Roeshia Claxton, Chloe Billam, Edward Beale and Rosie Durrance. Congratulations all of you.
I would like to give a shout-out to the following companies who are supporting our fund-raising campaign by providing Rewards on Crowdfunder:

Our fund-raising campaign to buy a new Ultimate 4×4 trampoline is well under way. We have raised £2500 so far from 3 local charities, including the J Reginald Corah Foundation. Our Crowdfunder campaign to raise a further £5000 will be launching on 3rd January – look out for the link to make a pledge
We are raising money to buy a new competition trampoline, an Ultimate 4×4. We have to raise £9,360.
Purchasing a new competition trampoline will increase the opportunities for our gymnasts to develop and reach their potential, and give them more chance to qualify and compete at regional and national competitions. It will enable the club to develop and be sustainable for the future, and will also help to attract more trampoline coaches, which in turn will allow us to increase membership.
We are planning to raise the money through applying to several different funding streams for grants and donations, asking if local businesses would be willing to donate, as well as raising money ourselves, starting with a Christmas party and a Sponsored Jump.
If you are interested in making a donation, please contact Annette at: aandnlewis@gmail.com or look out for the link to our Crowdfunder page coming soon!
Isabelle went cleanly through both her set and her voluntary routines at the National Challenge Cup Final on Saturday 3rd September. In a tough field of 26 gymnasts, Isabelle finished in a very creditable 16th place. It was a great experience for her first national finals competing in the large arena of the English Institute of Sport, Sheffield.
Well done Izzy!
